Saab Key Programming
Saab cars built since 1994 feature an immobilizer system that relies on key codes. To add an additional key, you need the purchase of a new transponder as well as special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key
The transponder is a key with an electronic chip. This chip sends a signal when the key is placed in the ignition. The car then checks to see whether the signal is the same as the one on the key. Jump-starting the battery
A majority of people keep the set in their trunk to start a car in case of emergency, but it might not be the best idea for vehicles that are newer. Start the vehicle you are using and let it run for about two minutes before you connect the cables to the one that is disabled.
